USA Today 1st to Repeat Since 2000-’01
The Gannetoids are just the third MMSL team to win back-to-back championships, behind WRC in 1993-’94 and The Gazette in 2000-’01. And the way they went about capturing their third title in five years was almost as improbable as their second straight sweep through the rugged Playoff Championship Series, as evidenced by the glee of coach Mark Hayes (left) for his team's new place in league history.
